Private Nature Reserves

Do you own some land (other than a garden)?

If so, then why not consider joining our group of Radnorshire Wildlife Trust members, who manage their land as private reserves for the benefit of wildlife. We are a networking group who share experiences, ideas and expertise. We organise about 5 meetings a year, visiting different habitats, and cover a variety of topics such as woodland management, hay meadows, wildflowers, bats, fungi, dragonflies etc.

The land area could be one acre or typically between 3 and 40 acres. Membership is free - but you must be a member of the Radnorshire Wildlife Trust. We have a 'pay as we go' policy to fund our events.

How would you benefit ?

You would gain support and friendship of like-minded people and learn more about habitats and species. You gain informal access to wildlife specialists. The networking enables you to share information and to benefit from learning about other members' successes and mistakes in managing their land.

Membership of the group does not mean that the public have access to your land and it does not mean that RWT tells you what to do with your land. A conservation officer will visit you and give useful free management advice. Your details are confidential to the members of the group and members of the group will visit you only if you invite them.

How do I find out more details?
