Volunteering

Radnorshire Wildlife Trust is the largest voluntary organisation working in the county of Powys on all aspects of nature conservation. Already our work has helped to secure the future of many precious habitats and species, enabling them to thrive again. From hedge laying, coppicing, and bracken cutting to helping in our shop or visitor centre; volunteers carry out a huge range of tasks.

Volunteers are the foundation upon which our Trust has been built, and people's time given freely is an integral part of our success.

Tuesday Volunteer Group

Practical work parties take place on most Tuesdays at one of our nature reserves. The work includes coppicing, hedge laying, gorse cutting, path and fence building and maintenance, pond maintenance, hay raking and bracken cutting. Due to the popularity of the Tuesday work parties, we are not currently recruiting new members to this group. To register an interest in joining a practical conservation work party in the future, please contact Jonathan Stone, Reserves Officer This email address is being protected from spambots. Other Volunteering

Volunteers help with taking sales in both the shop at Warwick House and at the Nature Discovery Centre (NDC) at Gilfach Nature Reserve. Volunteers also help the staff with surveying work and some administrative tasks, such as preparing the newsletter for distribution to members.
