A voluntary role focused on providing you with the skills needed to succeed in the conservation sector. You will work with the Reserves Team to manage Radnorshire Wildlife Trust’s nature reserves as exemplar sites.

Radnorshire Wildlife Trust are looking for a Habitat Management Trainee to be based around the Radnorshire Vice-County.

Conservation is a competitive field, and it can be hard to show that you have the experience needed to get your first job. If you have a real desire to work in this rewarding and satisfying field, but need to boost your skills and experience, a volunteer trainee position with us may be the perfect role for you.

You will work with the Reserves Team to manage Radnorshire Wildlife Trust’s nature reserves as exemplar sites. You'll learn how to:

  • Use hand and power tools to complete practical conservation tasks.
  • Build, maintain, and repair nature reserve infrastructure.
  • Work with and lead volunteer groups.

This traineeship is supported by the Green Future Leaders project, which focused on empowering young people in Radnorshire to take action for nature, and think more sustainably. We are therefore only able to accept applications from those aged between 18-25 on the date of starting.
