A voluntary role focused on providing you with the skills needed to succeed in the conservation sector. You will work with the Rivers Team on both Radnorshire Wildlife Trust and external landowner sites to assist with restoring the River Wye and Lugg catchments.

Radnorshire Wildlife Trust are looking for a River Restoration Trainee to be based around the Radnorshire Vice-County.

Conservation is a competitive field, and it can be hard to show that you have the experience needed to get your first job. If you have a real desire to work in this rewarding and satisfying field, but need to boost your skills and experience, a volunteer trainee position with us may be the perfect role for you. Previous experience in conservation isn't required for this role.

You will work with the Rivers Team on both Radnorshire Wildlife Trust and external landowner sites to assist with restoring the River Wye and Lugg catchments. You'll learn about natural solutions and get hands on experience implementing techniques such as leaky dams. You'll learn how to engage with people with rivers, and make real difference in the River Wye and Lugg catchments.

This traineeship is supported by the Green Future Leaders project, which focused on empowering young people in Radnorshire to take action for nature, and think more sustainably. We are therefore only able to accept applications from those aged between 18-25 on the date of starting.
