Prosiect Sefyll Dros Natur Cymru

Mae’r chwe Ymddiriedolaeth Natur yng Nghymru wedi dod at ei gilydd i fynd i’r afael â’r newid yn yr hinsawdd gyda help pobl ifanc Cymru. Yn ystod y tair blynedd nesaf, fe fyddwn ni’n gweithio i rymuso ac ysbrydoli pobl ifanc i weithredu dros natur a bywyd gwyllt yn eu hardal leol mewn ymgais i fynd i’r afael â’r newid yn yr hinsawdd. O Gaerdydd drefol i Sir Faesyfed wledig, mae pobl ifanc yn sefyll dros natur a’u dyfodol.

Why now?

There has never been a more important time to take action for nature. We are currently facing a climate and nature emergency, with 17% of species in Wales at risk of extinction. But we can change this! By putting nature into recovery, we can and will tackle climate change. Thriving habitats can safely lock up vast amounts of carbon, while providing other vital benefits that help us adapt, such as flood prevention, clean water, and improved health and wellbeing.

What we're doing

Since our project launch on April 22nd, the Stand for Nature Wales team has been busy, busy, busy! We have been working hard to reach out to young people.

We have already formed partnerships with some brilliant schools and community groups throughout Radnorshire, and we are excited to connect those students with nature using wildlife-based activities.

If you would like your school or community group to benefit from this exciting project, please contact Silvia or Chloe

Nature's Recovery and Climate Change Traineeship

We are on the lookout for four individuals, aged 18-24, to join our Nature's Recovery and Climate Change Traineeship for six months! This traineeship offers a unique and exciting opportunity to undertake work-based training towards developing a practical career in environmental conservation. Trainees will gain experience in wildlife surveying, practical reserve work, tool use, working with volunteers, and digital communications, as well as improving knowledge on climate change and building community change.
